ABSTRACT: Unmoderated user testing is a staple in the UX research arsenal, yet it's often misunderstood and undervalued. Despite its widespread use, there’s a surprising lack of in-depth resources to maximize its potential, and some practitioners even dismiss the method. In this talk, we’ll dive into the world of unmoderated testing, exploring its evolution and future. Drawing on over a decade of experience in user research and firsthand participation in unmoderated tests, Nick will discuss common pitfalls and share his (opinionated) practical tips to get the most out of this method.
