Abstract  

How do you design an intranet that is one of the 10 best-designed intranets for 2018 according to the Nielsen Norman Group's 17th Intranet Design Annual?

Join us to find out. We'll hear from three members of a winning team who will share what they did in terms of design strategy, visual and UX design, information architecture, business & stakeholder management, working with remote teams, and development .

Presenter Bios

Radley Dioso is a multidisciplinary designer who specializes in UX/UI design and front-end development. He has over a decade of professional experience developing and deploying design projects on various scales and verticals. Radley also has over six years of professional experience as a client-facing consultant. Radley has worked with clients in multiple industries including: public sector, banking, telecommunications, automotive, professional sports, arts and culture.  Radley’s expertise ranges from concept to design, information architecture, usability assessments and technical specifications for global teams. He uses appealing visual design and elegant code to create compelling omni-channel user experiences.

Kathy Coats is a Senior User Experience Consultant, IBM Design Thinking leader and Manager in IBM Interactive Experience (IX) Canada. She has delivery responsibility for all of Canada in designing usable, creative and innovative interfaces. Kathy has worked with IBM for twenty-eight (28) years delivering experiences in gathering both business and user requirements, information architecture, usability and design and in leading Design Thinking initiatives. In the last twenty (20) years, she has focused on being an advocate for the user and the total user experience. Kathy have successfully been involved with the design and development of digital experiences for a variety of industries including, financial, insurance, retail, public sector and government. Her most recent engagements include User Experience Design Lead for organizations seeking to start or continue a design presence in all their work. She has also been instrumental in helping to grow practitioners skills in leadership, consulting, sales and Design Thinking. She is passionate in working with people helping them to find their passion and grow their skills within IBM. She will never say no someone wanting to have a discussion with her on how to grow their skills, career or their dreams at IBM or in life.

Armin Tabrizi has worked in the UX field for 5 years, starting as a User Centered Design specialist at IBM, and is now a Senior Consultant at IBM focusing on Experience Design & Strategy. He has worked within the banking, manufacturing, telecommunication, financial & professional services, and media and entertainment fields. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Industrial (Systems) Engineering program, specializing in Human Factors and Information Systems
