DGPis40 celebration

  • 29 May 2008
  • 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Bahen Centre, Room 7224 (7th floor)
DGPis40 (http://www.dgp.toronto.edu/dgpis40/) is the 40th anniversary celebration of the Dynamic Graphics Project (DGP) at the University of Toronto. DGP is an incredibly successful, award-winning research group that encompasses the research areas of graphics and human-computer interaction. Alumni from this research group have gone onto positions at leading companies in their field (e.g., Pixar Animation Studios, Microsoft, Autodesk, IBM, Nokia, Mitsubishi, Yahoo!, Google, etc.)

DGPis40 will be a conference-style event on May 29 and 30 at the Bahen Centre for Information Technology, which has been home to the DGP lab since the building's opening in 2002. The event will feature talks by leaders in the field (most of whom are also DGP alumni), research demos and poster sessions by alumni, students, and faculty, and opportunities for socializing and celebrating the rich history and promising future of DGP.

As a special offer to TorCHI members, the following will be open for registration as TorCHI's May event:
Poster/Demo Session with Reception (Thursday May 29, 6:00pm-9:00pm) - $35

Alternatively, TorCHI members interested in attending the full event are welcome to do so:
