TorCHI schedules monthly meetings to discuss and exchange ideas about Human Computer Interaction, Usability, User Experience and User Interface Design. Expert presenters discuss state-of-the-art tools, research methods, technologies, and latest research findings.
Seminars are typically at 7:00 - 9:00 pm at various locations around Toronto. The format of usually consists of networking with refreshments; presentations by invited expert guest speakers or discussion groups, followed by question periods, and open discussions, followed by socializing at a nearby Pub.
Monthly meetings are free to TorCHI members. Non-members can pay $20 for a meeting ($10 for students with ID), which includes one-year membership.
Workshops are generally run on weekdays between 9:00AM and 5:00PM and cover a wide range of topics. Separate registration fees are charged for workshops.
Books and magazines are available for members to borrow for as long as no one else requests the same item.
